Sweet Sesame Sticks


  • 1 egg
  • 60 g butter
  • 5 tablespoons coconut sugar
  • juice of 1/2 small lemon
  • 70 g integral spelt flour
  • 1 baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 160 g sesame


Manual whisk the egg, then add butter melted on room temperature and mix, then add coconut sugar and lemon juice and continue to mix. In other bowl mix dry ingredients: flour, baking powder and salt and gradually combine dry and moist mixture. Then add sesame with spatula and use it also to apply mixture and to stretch it on baking sheet so it’s square-shaped. Then cut it into sticks. Bake for a maximum of 15 minutes at 175 °C. When you remove the sticks from the oven, they will be even soft. Cut them once more and wait for them to cool down and harden.
