Pretzels With Turmeric


  • 500 g of spelt flour,
  • 1 cup of sour milk,
  • 1/2 cup of sunk fat
  • 2 yolks
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 teaspoons of turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • juice of half a lemon
  • sesame


Mix flour and turmeric. In a bowl pour sour milk, fat, egg yolks, salt, baking powder, baking soda, juice of half lemon and stir well. Add flour with turmeric and mix well. Pour dough onto surface sprinkled with flour and stretch to half centimeters thick. Use the mold to get pretzels and arrange them on a tray covered with baking paper. Knead again the remains of the dough, stretch again and repeat until you get dough. Sprinkle pretzels in a tray with water and then with sesame and bake in preheated oven on 180 degrees for about 15 minutes.
