Hake Stuffed Peppers


  • 6 green belly peppers
  • 1 large onion
  • 500 g hake fillet
  • 1 bunch of chard
  • 1/2 young zucchini
  • 2 egg whites
  • sea salt, pepper
  • allowed oil for frying


Scoop out belly peppers and clean of the seeds and stalks. Peel onion and chop into cubes, as well as hake fillet. Wash chard, remove stalks and chop into stripes, and zucchini completely with the skin into rings. Fry onion on little oil, add hake and continue frying constantly stirring until fish get nice golden color. Add chopped chard and stir. Add salt and pepper and remove from the heat. Add egg whites into chilled mixture and stuff peppers with that. Close peppers with zucchini rings. Arrange in greased baking dish and pour with little water. Cover with foil and bake in preheated oven on 200 degrees about 40 minutes. Then remove foil and continue baking until peppers get nice golden color.
