Chickpeas And Spinach Fritters


  • 150 g chickpeas flour
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 red onion
  • 250 g spinach
  • 150 ml lukewarm water
  • 150 ml sour milk or Greek yogurt


Mix in a bowl flour, salt, baking powder, ground cumin and chopped onion. Then add chopped fresh spinach, sour milk or Greek yogurt and water. Mix all and leave for 15 minutes to let chickpeas flour soak up the water. In a small and narrow pot place pork fat or high-temperature oil in at least three fingers high. Take a tablespoon of the mixture and place in hot oil. One tablespoon is enough for one fritter. When fried, remove them to a paper towel. Prepare some sour milk or Greek yogurt sauce if you are restriction phase (you know the rule of not mixing two dairy products) and enjoy.
