If you use dried chickpeas, soak them in cold water in the evening and leave them overnight. Peel the onions and cut it in halves. Arrange that halves on a baking paper and bake in preheated oven on 200 degrees for half an hour. In the meantime fry chopped garlic on little olive oil and water and add spices you like. Then add chickpeas you previously dried of water. Add little water and let stew for 10 minutes. When you remove the baked onions from the oven, remove the middle, leaving one or two coats, to obtain as cups. Add that middle of the onions to the frying pan with the chickpeas. Then stuff baked halves of the onions with that mixture and put back in the oven for another 15 minutes at 200 degrees.
