Simple Buns With Kefir


  • 1 cup homemade kefir
  • 2,5 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1,5 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 baking powder


Mix all dry ingredients, then add kefir. Stir with a wood spoon, then transfer to the floured working surface and knead the dough with your hands. You should knead a soft and smooth dough. Make the ball and then divide it into 8 parts and then make 8 balls. Stretch each ball with your palm to form a disc. It doesn’t have to be too thin. In the meantime, heat the oven with the baking pan. Turn on 250 degrees, then when you place the buns in it, reduce to 200 – 220 degrees, depending on the oven. When you form the buns, take out the baking pan and put baking paper in it. Grease each bun with the mixture of kefir and oil (1 tablespoon of kefir + 1 teaspoon of olive oil) and sprinkle with black sesame. Bake for about 10 minutes.
