Buns With Sunflower Seeds


  • 1 egg
  • 60 g rye flour
  • 60 g barley flour
  • 1 tablespoon crushed flax
  • 1 tablespoon pork fat
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 dl mineral water
  • sunflower seeds for sprinkling


Melt pork fat and leave to cool while kneading the dough. First whisk the egg, add mineral water, flours, salt, baking powder and flax. At the end add pork fat and knead the dough. Take the dough with the spoon and place in a baking tray covered with baking paper. Then with wet hands form buns and sprinkle with sunflower seeds. Press them little into the dough lest they fall off the bun. Place in preheated oven on 220 degrees and bake about 10 to 15 minutes. Use toothpick to check are they baked.
