Braised Drumstick With Lemon


  • 1 drumstick (you can use thigh as well, one or more)
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 2 waist spring onions
  • 1 teaspoon curry
  • little olive oil
  • sea salt, pepper


Divide drumstick from thigh and remove skin. Pour little olive oil into sauce pan and heat it on moderate temperature. Then add chopped onion, fry it for about two minutes, then add chicken meat, curry, salt and pepper. Add little water to cover drumstick, add lemon you previously cut into rings and let it braises. Braising should last some 20 minutes in uncovered dish. Check the content from time to time and stir. Make sure that the rest of the water does not evaporate quickly at the end of the cooking (which can happen if you do not take care). It turns out to be very nice and delicious when all the spices, onions and lemon are combined at the end, so everything turns into a sauce that you finally pour over the drumstick when you serve it on a plate.
