Braised Chicken Drumsticks With Lemon


  • 1 chicken drumstick (you can use chicken thighs as well, one or few)
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 2 spring onions
  • 1 teaspoon curry
  • little olive oil
  • sea salt, pepper


Divide drumstick from the thigh and remove skin. Take a deep pot, pour little olive oil in it and turn on moderate temperature to heat. Then add chopped spring onion and fry it for two minutes, then add drumstick and thigh, curry, salt and pepper and water to cover drumstick, add lemon you previously cut into circles and leave to cook. Cook about half an hour without covering the pot. Occasionally, you should check and mix the contents. Make sure that the rest of the water does not evaporate quickly at the end of the brewing process (which can happen if you do not check). It turns out to be very nice and delicious when all the spices, onions and lemon are combined at the end, so everything turns into a sauce that you finally pour over the drumstick when you serve it on a plate.
