Collard Green Rolls


  • 2 bunches of collards
  • 500 g minced beef meat
  • 2 – 3 garlic cloves
  • sea salt, pepper
  • water


First you should blanch collards in a boiling water for few minutes. Leave them to drain and to cool. In a bowl mix minced meat with chopped garlic and spices. Put meat mixture on each collard leaf. Fold in sides, starting at an unfolded edge, and roll up leaf completely to enclose filling. Repeat with remaining leaves and filling. Place rolls in baking dish, pour water to be 2 cm above and cook about one hour on moderate temperature.
