- 280 g soft spelt flour
- 220 g integral spelt flour + 20 g for sprinkling
- 1 baking powder
- 1 teaspoon Himalayan salt
- 3 tablespoons olive oil + the same for shaping the dough
- 250 ml lukewarm water
Mix all dry ingredients, then add water and oil. Knead the dough about five minutes, shape the ball, grease with oil and leave to rest about ten minutes. Then divide it into three balls, stretch each into roller – part of the plait. The parts of the plait should not be too thin or long. Maximum 30 centimeters. Connect the top end and start to knit. When you have finished, transfer the plait to the oiled baking tray. To make your plait look a bit rustic, sprinkle it with the flour and put in preheated oven on 50 degrees. After 15 minutes, boost the oven on 225 degrees and bake for half an hour. Let it cool and enjoy.
