Salty Chrono Cream Puffs


  • 250 ml water
  • pinch of sea salt
  • 100 g butter
  • 175 g spelt flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 4 eggs


Put water and butter cut into dices and let boil, then gradually add flour constantly stirring to avoid making lumps. Transfer dough to some bowl and leave to cool for ten minutes. Whisk one egg with baking powder and add into dough while stirring. Then add other three eggs, one per one and stir well. Put the dough into pastry bag and squeeze out little dough in the shape of snails on baking paper. Let them go to the height so as not to squash. If you do not have a pastry bag for puffs, you can also make a ball with a spoon. Put them in preheated oven on 200 or 220 degrees depending on the oven and bake about 20 minutes. While still warm cut them into halves and stuff with some spread, pate, or whatever you like.
