Fasting Rye Sticks


  • 150 g rye flour + little for working surface
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1,5 teaspoon caraway
  • 1,5 teaspoon psyllium
  • 1,5 dl water
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder


Turn on the oven. While you finish with kneading, it will be sufficiently heat. Drastically shorten the process of making. Mix in a bowl flour, salt, caraway and baking powder. Then add psyllium and mix well again. Then add water and using tablespoon knead the dough. Leave it five to ten minutes. Pour the dough on working surface and knead more, to stop it sticking to your hands. Then divide the dough into equal parts with your hands (or about equal). Put more flour on a working surface and form sticks with your palms. Arrange them on baking tray covered with baking paper and put in the oven. Bake on 210 degrees about ten minutes.
