Spicy Bread


  • 150 g rye flour
  • 50 g barley flour
  • 1,5 teaspoon garlic in powder
  • 3 teaspoons caraway
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 200 ml water
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder


In the morning mix flour, salt, spices, oil and water. Knead, cover the bowl with the plate and leave on the room temperature till evening. In the evening add baking powder and knead well into dough. Take the dough with wet hands, form loaf and put in baking tray covered with baking paper. Align with wet hands and sprinkle with rye flour and make pattern using teaspoon. Put in preheated oven and bake on 210 degrees about 40 minutes. Wrap in dry dishcloth and leave until morning.
