Kale Rolls With Chicken


  • 1 head of kale
  • 500 g chicken breasts
  • 1 large onion
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • pinch of curry
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 1 large egg white
  • lemon zest
  • 500 ml vegetable broth


Separate larger leaves of kale from the root and using sharp knife make thinner thickening in the middle. Wash leaves and briefly blanch to gently soften and become flexible. chop the chicken meat, cut onion into cubes and mash garlic. Mix in a bowl chicken, onion, garlic, egg white, lemon zest, parsley and curry. Add salt and pepper per taste and mix well. On a softened leaf of kale put per tablespoon of filling, fold sides toward the middle and roll it. Repeat the procedure with other leaves and filling. Arrange rolls into greased baking dish. Pour one half of vegetable broth over it and cover with foil. Bake in preheated oven on 200 degrees about 35 minutes. Then remove the foil, pour little soup optionally and bake more 15 minutes.
