- 1/3 pineapple
- 1 large orange
- mineral water (optional)
- 1 tablespoon coconut milk (optional)
Clean the pineapple with a knife, and then remove all those small “dots”using the tip of the knife. Cut it into cubes and place in the freezer for an hour or two. It does not need to be completely frozen, but to cool well. Then put it into blender, squeeze orange and mix well with orange juice. You can add some mineral water. You will get milder juice, but slightly carbonated. And cold. Also, you can try it out with coconut milk, so it will look more like a real Pina Colada, even though it’s alcohol free. Coconut milk should not be exaggerated for snacks because it is rich in saturated fats. Sometimes it’s O.K. especially if you want to get a creamy structure like ice cream. In this case, you do not need to cool the pineapple before use. Put it in a blender with orange juice and coconut milk, and mix it. Then pour the mixture in plastic containers and place in the freezer to cool well.
