Sunflower Beef


  • 4 beef steaks from leg
  • 1 onion
  • spices per taste: sea salt, pepper, basil, bay leaves
  • 2 dl red wine

For sunflower pasta:

  • 200 sunflower seeds
  • olive oil
  • garlic
  • sea salt


Marinate steaks overnight in spices and wine. Heat the dish in which you’ll prepare steaks and put little allowed oil. Drain steaks and briefly fry from both sides, then pour the rest of marinade and cook together with steaks on moderate temperature until soften. About one hour. Add water if necessary. Prepare pasta: fry sunflower seeds on a dry frying pan and finely chop or grind. Gradually add olive oil until get compact thick pasta. Then add mashed garlic and salt. Put per tablespoon of pasta over the steaks.
