Falafel With Hummus

Falafel With Hummus

  • 300 g chickpeas
  • 1 onion
  • 2 – 3 garlic cloves
  • sea salt, pepper, ground caraway
  • little chili pepper
  • parsley
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Pour cold water over the chickpeas and leave overnight in the fridge. In the morning drain it well and chop in the blender (you don’t have to cook it previously). Add onion (you can chop and fry it a bit), garlic and the rest of the spices. Put in a blender and mix briefly because the mixture should not be like a paste but to remain grainy. Take out with the spoon or with wet hands and arrange on a baking paper, then put in the oven for about 20 minutes depending on the oven. You can also fry them in a deep oil, but of course it is better to avoid such thermal processing. Pour 200 gr hummus over the baked falafels. Arrange them in hot buns and enjoy in explosion of taste.
