Chrono Baked Sauerkraut

Ingredients

  • 1 head of sauerkraut
  • 1 onion
  • 3 – 4 garlic cloves
  • olive oil
  • bay leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • crushed hot peppers and other spices per taste

Preparation

Cut sauerkraut into stripes and fry on olive oil with chopped onion and garlic constantly stirring about 20 minutes. Then remove from the heat. Grease earthenware (clay-pot) dish with olive oil and pour sauerkraut in it, add bay leaves, pepper and other spices per your taste (except salt, because sauerkraut is salt enough) and stir well. Pour one cup of water in it and put in preheated oven on 220 degrees. Bake until get nice golden color.
