Sticks With Cheese And Butter


For the dough:

  • 500 g integral spelt flour
  • 250 ml water
  • 50 ml oil
  • 4 tablespoons baking powder

For the filling:

  • 250 g young cheese
  • 75 g butter (room temperature)


Knead medium soft dough from listed ingredients and leave to rest for 20 minutes. Stretch the dough into rectangle and fill with mixture of butter and cheese. Fold the dough in half lengthwise and once again to the end. Stretch it a little bit, just to get the size of the sticks. Preheat the oven on 200 degrees. Cut the dough into sticks and twist each and arrange on baking paper. Coat with egg, sour milk or just with butter and sprinkle with seeds per your wish. Bake for 10 minutes on 200 degrees, then reduce temperature on 180 degrees and bake for another 15 minutes depending on the oven.
