Rye Butter Bread With Chia Seeds


  • 200 g rye flour
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • pinch or two of sea salt
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 200 ml water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • little butter


Mix in a bowl flour, salt and chia seeds and add water. Knead well and leave to rest for at least 3 hours. Then add oil and baking powder and mix in well into mixture. Put the mixture on baking paper you’ll put in the baking dish and form loaf with wet hands. Let it be thin. Make thin cuts on the surface with knife and put pieces of butter in them. Put in preheated oven on 220 degrees and bake about 30 minutes depending on the oven. When baked wrap in a cloth and leave to cool.
