Chrono Dried Onion Buns


  • 150 g rye flour
  • 50 g of barley flour
  • 2 tablespoons of dried onion
  • pinch or two of sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame
  • 200 ml of water
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1/2 baking powder
  • few drops of lemon
  • 1 teaspoon of butter


As always, first preheat the oven. Mix flours, onion, sesame and water. Cover and leave to rest as long as possible. In the morning, or in the evening depending when you decide to bake, add salt, oil and baking powder. Mix all with wooden spoon or using mixer with dough attachments. Melt butter. With wet hands take a dough and form buns on baking paper. With a lower and blunt part of teaspoon make a cross on the surface of buns. Grease each with melted butter and place in preheated oven. Bake for about 20 minutes at 210 or 220 degrees, depending on your oven.
