Stuffed Vine Leaves


  • 25 young vine leaves
  • 500 g hake fillets
  • 1 onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 lemon
  • sea salt
  • pepper
  • spice herbs (dill, rosemary, basil)
  • allowed oil


Cook hake fillets, drain, leave to cool and mix in a blender. On a little oil fry chopped onion and garlic, remove from the heat, then add fish, salt, pepper and spice herbs. Pour a little lemon juice and mix well. Wash vine leaves and pour hot water on them to soften. Leave in water for ten minutes, then drain. On each vine leaf put one tablespoon of filling, switch sides to the middle and wrap in the roll. In the same way form rolls until you have ingredients. Arrange rolls into greased baking dish, pour water over them and sprinkle with oil. Put lemon circles between rolls. Bake in preheated oven on 200 degrees about 30 minutes.
